We were blessed to give the coach we work with at Colonial Hills gifts for the birth of her baby girl in June. She has been a joy and amazing person to partner with on campus this school year. Her husband serves at a local church and they are a precious, believing couple. Please pray for her and her husband as they welcome their first baby. There have been some challenges with her pregnancy so they are appreciative of your prayers.
HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!
The truth of Jesus being crucified, buried, risen, and coming again has been the topic of study in both Kids Club and Teen Time over the past several weeks. Students have been given the invitation to receive Christ and also encouraged to tell others what they know about Jesus.
Donna helps her Kids Club 2nd graders learn memory verses. Students are learning about Jesus’ miracles, His entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, and His death, burial, and resurrection this month. We continue to teach in English and Spanish so all our students will hear and understand our lessons. We are thankful for a Spanish speaking small group leader in every grade level this year so students can learn and grow in Kids Club. Ann shares the gospel in small groups and with our middle school helpers.
Kids Club has resumed and we are studying Christ’s miracles and New Testament teachings during the spring semester. Students love the music time with action songs, learning memory verses, New Testament books of the Bible, and spending time in small groups with their small group leaders. The one-on-one attention they receive is treasured by our students. Ann and Noemi are visiting each small group presenting the gospel in either English or Spanish and answering any questions the students have about salvation. Thank you for praying for this special time we have to teach spiritual truths
I recently received this from a friend. I love its message and wanted to share it.
Welcome to Flight 2024.
Teen Time Retreat with seven of our eight faithful students was an amazing, exhausting, fun-filled time! There was swimming, horseback riding, a church office painting service project, Bible study, movie nights, games, water balloons, craft making, and much more. These young people are in seventh grade through seniors in high school. They want to grow in the Lord and enjoy serving. The oldest in the group even chose to lead a morning quiet time for the whole group two different times! Thank God with us for the growth we saw in them during the 4-day retreat time we had with them!
May 26 was a wonderful day to “treat” the entire staff at Colonial Hills Elementary School to a bar-b-que lunch. Thanks to your generous giving, we were able to give away over 30 gift cards and 30 gifts to deserving faculty as an End-of-Year thank you for a job well done during the 2022/23 school year. There were smiles and laughter, sighs of relief, and a spirit of anticipation for the summer break. We ended the day with prayer for the summer ahead.
Thank you for praying for One Way International and for those with whom we serve! This month we want to share about some of the amazing students with whom we work in the local area.
