CHRISTMAS RECAP--JANUARY--2025

December 10th was our annual Gifts of Love Christmas Celebration at Colonial Hills Kids Club.  As we celebrated the gift of Christ’s birth to the world, our students were invited to choose a gift for their families.  The day is full of special snacks, pizza, Christmas crafts, and gifts for the students as well.  Thank you to all who helped, gave, and prayed for this wonderful time of celebration and worshipping our Savior, Jesus Christ!

December 13th, we treated our Teen Time students to dinner out and had wonderful fellowship with them and Lynn Luna and Noemi Francis who faithfully help all year with retreats, transportation, and ministry activities.

December 16th we had between 90-100 in attendance at the annual Kerrybrook Christmas Celebration.  One of our past Teen Time students who is now in the Navy had just gotten home that day for a Christmas vacation to visit his family.  Pete and I were blessed to see him and give him a great big welcome home hug!  We are so proud of this young man’s decision to serve our country.  He is in training to become an air traffic controller.  Please keep Tyvon in your prayers.  The evening started with tamales, chips and queso, cookies, and hot chocolate. It progressed to the Christmas story and gospel presented by Noemi Francis, pinata fun with lots of candy, and ended with over 65 gifts being given out by drawing of names.  Bibles were given to all who wanted one.  Thank you for giving, helping with this wonderful celebration, and for the many prayers offered for this wonderful evening with our friends at Kerrybrook Apartments.

December 20th, Noemi Francis and Donna Hines helped set up the Colonial Hills staff Christmas Breakfast of tacos, oranges, and Mexican cookies and candies.  They set up two tables of give-away gifts, along with 2025 student artwork calendars.  Staff were thrilled with the food, festivities, gifts, and calendars.  One teacher came to us and asked for prayer for her granddaughter.  She had gone missing, was found a week later, and her parents weren’t allowing the teacher (grandmother) to see the teen.  We stood around this teacher whom we’ve known for years, hand in hand and prayed for her during this difficult time.  Please pray that “Sofia” will feel God’s love and concern for her and that this family will receive restoration and peace.
