November and December are always favorite months in ministry.
In November, our teens look forward to packing food for approximately 5 meals for those who sign up, delivering it, and praying with those at the door receiving the food. This year, twenty-six families signed up. In the beginning, we adults always did the praying while they stood with us. We began to help them learn to pray for others in teen time and through the last three years they have knocked on the doors, introduced themselves, asked for prayer requests, and prayed for their neighbors in either their preferred Spanish or English language. I am blessed and get goose bumps each time I hear them pray. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
In December. lessons for Kids Club students build to the Christmas story whether we are studying the Old or New Testament, culminating in December with pointing them to giving, as a gift of love, to those they hold dear. We are excited for our Gifts of Love celebration with our students in mid-December this year. Please pray for each family as they receive gifts, Bibles, and spiritual materials which share the gospel. Pray for softened and seeking hearts, and decisions for salvation for these families so special to us. Thank you for being a part in sharing Christ with them. As we celebrate this most amazing time of year, please pray that students and families will really get the reason for the season. Pray that they would worship God in truth and in spirit. May God bless you richly throughout this time.
