We just wanted to give you an update on One Way International. Staff and volunteers are staying home as all have been directed, however we have been in contact with the school principal, SAMM partners, and Kerrybrook management. They all know we are ready and willing to help or provide in any way we can. They just need to give the word.
In the meantime, we would ask you to be in prayer for those we minister to. As news of the virus broke our teens were concerned and since we were still meeting at the time we talked about it and what their response to it should be. Spring break came and went and then everything began to be shut down. As a result, we have not seen our Kids Club students, teens, or ladies since before Spring Break. Perla has been keeping in touch with the ladies by phone. However, uncertainty brings fear in the form of anxiety, worry, and panic. We of course are concerned for our students and their families.
Please pray for our students young and old as well as their families that they would:
• remember the lessons we have taught
• draw close to the Savior and God they have become familiar with
• understand that for those who have trusted in Jesus, He will never leave them
• trust in Jesus claiming His promise of eternal life and presence in their lives if they hadn’t previously trusted in Him
• pray and develop a closer relationship with their Savior than ever before
• replace fear with faith, anxiety with peace, worry with trust, and panic with rest in the sovereignty of God
