HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!
The truth of Jesus being crucified, buried, risen, and coming again has been the topic of study in both Kids Club and Teen Time over the past several weeks. Students have been given the invitation to receive Christ and also encouraged to tell others what they know about Jesus.
Camp registrations have been given out at Kids Club for His Hill Ranch Camp in June. Some have been turned in and we are waiting ro receive others. Sometimes it takes a personal call to parents to answer questions for them to feel comfortable letting their 4th or 5th grade student go to camp. Pray for parents to allow their children this wonderful opportunity of drawing closer to the Lord in the beauty of His creation.
Gift cards for staff at Colonial Hills are now being collected. The end of every school year we “treat” the staff to a luncheon and gifts of appreciation. We make up special gifts, buy plants, and “gift” gift cards through a drawing. It is a time the staff looks forward to each year. You can help us be a blessing to the staff by donating gift cards from places such as HEB, Chick-fil-A, Whataburger, Sonic, Amazon, Bill Miller’s, Walmart, Starbucks, or your personal favorite in increments of $10, $15, $20, or $25. Gift cards are needed by May 15 for this year. Thank you in advance for your donations.
We anticipate needing school supplies for 75 students, Kindergarten through high school in late July. July 31 is our deadline. If you enjoy purchasing school supplies or giving financially for them, please be on the lookout for good deals or make your donation anytime for us to purchase. We are accepting backpacks as well. Thank you in advance for being part of our school supply outreach. Students also receive Bibles or devotional books along with their supplies.
Gifts needed for Gifts of Love Christmas, for Kids Club students’ families this fall. We would ask you to consider donating any new or unused gift items you might have in your home for our baskets. If you do “spring or summer cleaning” at your house please be on the lookout for new items you might be able to donate to go in our family baskets. If you find really good deals to purchase mens’ or womens’ body lotions, wallets, beanies, flashlights, etc., or kitchen towels/items, we are grateful. November 15 is the deadline for receiving items or financial donations. All baskets include Bibles for the families.
