KIDS CLUB will be starting in June at Kerrybrook Apartments. We look forward to seeing and working with our special 2nd through 5th grade children at Kerrybrook. We will be doing music, crafts, games, Bible lessons and Scripture memorization with them over the summer. Snacks will be sent home in goody bags as we are doing with Teen Time students. Pray that these children will be blessed and grow spiritually over the course of the summer.
We want to keep you updated on Roman. His mother continues to pursue every avenue possible to help get a diagnosis and help for Roman. Both Roman and Tyvon have continued attending Teen Time weekly. Tyvon is always by Roman’s side and Pete assists in the two getting home and upstairs to their apartment. Hi mother, Crystal, has started a “Go Fund Me” page asking for financial support for medical tests, needs, and new housing arrangements in a ground floor apartment or house. Roman has daily doctor appointments and therapy sessions. If you are interested in following their story, you c
TEEN TIME has met the past 6 weeks. We meet with our 6 faithful girls for an hour and then our 5 wonderful boys for the next hour. We have been watching and discussing episodes from “The Chosen” movies. As we finish this series, they have requested that we study Old Testament Scriptures. We are in the process of making a summer Bible study with activities and devotionals they can work on at home during the week. They are looking forward to having “something to do” this summer when school work is done and they have lots of free time on their hands.
Thank you for your wonderful generosity! Because of your donations, One Way International is able to bless all households at the Kerrybrook Apartments with a $25 gift card. The residents are always grateful for the prayers, gifts, and encouragements extended to them through the faithful and caring supporters of OWI. We appreciate your thoughtfulness more than you can ever know.
Roman is a faithful Teen Time attendee. He started with us while in Colonial Hills. He is now at Jackson Middle School, lives in Kerrybrook Apts and goes to the teen Bible study there .
May 1st begins Homer’s retirement. Homer has worked steadfastly from January until the end of April getting all his duties documented and files in order so the transition of him with and apart from OWI is as smooth as absolutely possible. Being on staff twenty years, we have depended on him immensely. Please pray as others step in to help fill the gaps of his presence that we will continue to do all that God desires us to do in service to HIM. Thank you once again, Homer for your faithfulness and obeying God’s calling for you at Child Evangelism Fellowship and One Way International wh
At One Way International I have reached out to an additional four schools with 370 staff and OWI is providing all staff at those schools a treat bag with a special card “In appreciation of teachers and staff.” These gift bags will include fruit snacks, granola bars, candy, chips, and cookies with an “Our Daily Bread” devotional in each one. Please pray that those who receive these gift bags will feel appreciated and be blessed and encouraged by God’s Word.
May 3-7 is “Teacher Appreciation Week” and in partnership with Wayside Chapel we are giving all staff at Colonial Hills Elementary School a breakfast treat bag with a card that says, “You are out of this world!” Staff is always so appreciative to receive these reminders that someone is thinking of and praying for them. I often get emails from individuals at the school saying, “THANK YOU, your gift came at just the right time!”
